Blue Sky even in January

Many people think that if you go north of the Polar Circle during winter time it will be pitch black 24/7. This is correct if you visit Svalbard and other places far north. But in the Steigen and Lofoten area this is not the case.

The two pictures on this page is taken on 3rd January 2016 from the exact same location outside Villa Haugen. The one facing south is taken 14:02 while the one facing north is taken 14:04.

We are sure many of you will think we have done a mistake and switched the two photos and texts. We have not. Come and see for yourself.
